About Us

Rampp Co. started in 1950 after IDECO closed & moved their manufacturing from Marietta, Ohio. Rampp purchased some machinery & equipment and, along with several former employees of IDECO, started manufacturing tools and providing services at our former location on 3rd Street in Marietta. In 2002, we built a new facility and relocated operations to 20445 State Route 550 just outside of Marietta after more than 50 years of operating from our original downtown location.

The move allowed us to expand our space and modernize many segments of operations, including some new machinery and equipment, and consolidate into a single-story facility. Rampp is the largest manufacturer of cable tools in the United States. Our products are used in the water well industry as well as the oil & gas industry. We manufacture custom products for many customers that include tooling used in the well service segment of the oil & gas industry.

In 1985, Rampp purchased Cameron Tool, located in Cameron, WV, and renamed the company Camforge to better reflect the operations of the manufacturing facility. The addition of Camforge provided Rampp with additional forging capabilities. Camforge is known worldwide for its forged mill-duty crane hooks and related forgings and is an OEM for many crane manufacturers. Rampp provides machining services as well as all administrative services for Camforge.

In December 2012, Rampp purchased Parkersburg Tool Company (previously Acme Fishing Tool Company) and moved the operations to Rampp. Roger Riddle, the former owner of Parkersburg Tool, has joined our team at Rampp, and we are elated to work with him. Roger brings 37 years of industry experience with him.
